Your profile
- Identify and define technical requirements in close coordination with work preparation, specialist departments and R&D
- Review technical drawings, specifications and bills of materials to prepare requests for quotation and purchase orders
- Obtain, evaluate and compare technical quotations
- Conduct price and contract negotiations with suppliers and service providers
- Select and qualify suppliers in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Engineering
- Monitor delivery dates and quality of ordered components
- Handle complaints and coordinate technical deviations with the relevant departments
- Maintain and further develop the supplier base and build strategic supplier partnerships
- Contribute to technical procurement projects
- Support the creation of CE-compliant documentation for purchased components
- Carry out cost analyses and identify potential savings
- Work closely with Engineering, Technology & Development, Logistics and Management
- Completed technical training (e.g. industrial mechanic, cutting machine operator, mechatronics technician) with further qualification as technician or master craftsman, or commercial training with a technical focus
- Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing, ideally in mechanical engineering or natural stone manufacturing
- Confident handling of technical drawings and specifications
- Good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office
- Business-fluent German skills, English skills are an advantage
- Strong technical understanding and interest in manufacturing processes
- Assertiveness, strong communication skills and negotiation talent
- Structured, analytical and self-reliant way of working
- Team spirit, cost awareness and a strong service mindset
- Knowledge of quality management and CE conformity is a plus
